House of the Dragon's Season 3 finale just torched a city and killed off a fan-favorite — which fallout from "The Battle of Tumbleton" hits hardest?
🏆 Leading: Rhaenyra's own moral collapse. Ordering the assault on Tumbleton knowing it would level the city, then coldly having Helaena mistreated during her hunger strike, then abruptly banishing Mysaria — this finale draws a hard line under just how far Rhaenyra has drifted from the reluctant, principled claimant of Season 1. The show is clearly building her as a tragic figure rather than a straightforward villain, but "tragic" still means the people around her keep paying the price for choices that increasingly look like they're about vengeance and control as much as they're about the throne itself. If Season 4 wants us to keep rooting for her, it has to reckon with what she's already done.
