Toe spacers are silicone or gel devices designed to restore natural toe alignment, relieve forefoot pain, and widen the foot's base to support better balance. While physical therapy insights on WebMD and research in MDPI suggest they can improve foot mobility and stability when paired with targeted foot-strengthening exercises, a pilot study indexed on PubMed found that wearing them alone yields no immediate improvement in dynamic balance or ankle range of motion. As a result, biomechanical experts recommend using toe spacers as a supportive, temporary tool within a broader foot health regimen rather than as a standalone solution.
